Nautika

Nautika is the newest state-of-the-art ferry of the Sealink fleet running across the Andaman Islands. Established on March 19, 2022, it was built in Penguin Shipyard in Singapore and was launched in October 2021. 

Capacity and features

Nautika is the most modern private ferry in the Andaman Islands, built with advanced marine technology that prioritizes speed, strength, and stability. This elegant 33-meter vessel can accommodate 285 passengers and operates at 30 knots, enabling passengers to travel to the most-visited Andaman tri-destination. Moreover, Nautika comprises a twin-deck layout with AC cabins, which offers spacious and luxurious seating. It typically has 6-8 trained crew members dedicated to on-board assistance and cafeteria management.

Classes Available

Nautika features 92 royal and 188 luxury seating classes. While the royal class offers premium seating with ample legroom on the upper deck, the luxury class offers more economical, comfortable seating on the lower deck. Both seating classes feature well-planned 3-column seating that provides optimal relaxation and an enjoyable trip for passengers.

Nautika Lite

Previously known as Sealink, Nautika Lite, introduced in 2018, is a smaller monohull catamaran that offers a comfortable yet affordable journey for its travellers. It was later integrated, retained, and introduced to the Nautika series as Nautika Lite in 2023. 

Capacity And Features

With a length of approximately 35.5 meters and a carrying capacity of 200 passengers, the vessel sails at a top speed of 23 knots across the Andaman Islands. It typically provides 6+ dedicated guest service staff for onboard assistance, ferry, and cafeteria management. It features two fully air-conditioned decks with well-organized seating that provide maximum comfort and space for tourists.

Nautika Lite comprises 2 reasonably priced seating classes: Royal Class on the upper deck with 27 pushback seats arranged in 2 columns. The Luxury Class has 173 plush seats arranged in 3 columns on the lower deck, which is more economical than the Royal Class. It is advised to refer to the seat map image for a complete view of the seat layout.

How to Book Nautika Ferry Offline?

If you’re choosing Nautika for your next adventure ride, here’s how you can book ferry tickets offline. 

  • Visit the Nautika office in Port Blair to book ferry tickets. Address: First floor, Baha’i house, Foreshore Road, Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Pin- 744102. Phone- +91 99332 33222 and 03192 239209 
  • This method might make you go through some common inconveniences. You need to travel from the hotel to the office, which needs extra time and local travel costs, before you reach Haddoo jetty to board the ferry. 
  • During peak season, you might face waiting times or queues, and due to limited seat availability, securing a seat on your designated date can be difficult.
  • If you want to pick another convenient method, you can book tickets through local agents, paying additional service charges. 
  • While offline booking is available, tickets often sell out, and the additional time taken for the entire process can be a significant drawback compared to online booking in advance.

Nautika Ferry Terms & Conditions

  • When traveling to Andaman islands with Nautika Ferries:
  • Bring a valid photo ID for check-in
  • Arrive at the jetty one hour before departure
  • Boarding ends 10 minutes before departure; check-in closes 15 minutes before
  • Name changes are not allowed after buying a ticket
  • Each ticket includes a ₹50 passenger service fee
  • During peak season (Dec 1-Jan 31), there’s an extra ₹100 fee per person
  • Infant tickets (under 2 years) cost ₹100
  • You can bring up to 25 kg of baggage
  • No smoking, alcohol, sharp objects, or flammable items allowed
  • No pets or animals allowed
  • Nautika may change or cancel trips for official reasons but isn’t responsible for your losses
  • Nautika isn’t responsible for damage to your belongings
  • Any disputes will be handled by courts in Port Blair
  • Terms may change, so check before booking
